This news was outrageous ! I have had it with all these nonsenses. We could have eradicate or, at least stop this from happening.
In the old days, infectious diseases such as whooping cough, mumps, polio were once rampant in the world populations and killed a lot of babies, children and adults . Even if you survived from the diseases, the complications are debilitating to your daily life.
I do come across with a few adult customers depending on the wheel chairs for whole life due to muscle weakness, suffering from the complications of polio in their daily lives. (This could be prevented if they are vaccinated)
With the invention of vaccines, millions of lives were prevented from these monstrous diseases. Immunisations offer a great protection not only to you but also your loved ones. Everyone should be vaccinated to obtain the maximal benefit unless . This is known as herd immunity, whereby most of the people are immunised to the infections and therefore, greatly reduce the risk of spreading of the infectious diseases.

However, there are minority groups of people who are against vaccinations, coming up with reasons based on religion and safety of the vaccines. None of these arguments hold water!
Unfortunately, with the advance of technology and social media, these anti-vaccination activists misguided the people with the wrong information of the vaccination, leading them into the thinkings that vaccinations do harm their children. Some of the ignorant parents refuse to vaccinate their babies, merely based on the influence of these news and the people surroundings. Sadly, this cause the re-emergence of the cases of these infectious diseases.
Therefore, we need to increase the awareness of these parents. We need to let them know the importance of immunisations to their kids, and also to the whole community. They need to UNDERSTAND, researchers have actively showed that vaccinations do lots of goods in preventing, or even wiping up these infectious diseases in the populations. The risks of vaccines to babies are very low and treatable. In fact, the chance of succumbing to the severe adverse effects of vaccinations is near to nil with the advancement of medical technology nowadays.
DON'T DOUBT IT ANYMORE. Get your babies immunised to safeguard their health.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are still not confident enough. Let them explain to you so that you can make a smart choice yourself.
